General Consultation
- Parent / Teacher Conferences – Camp Academia staff will accompany parents to school meetings to ensure that the students learning processing strengths and weaknesses are fully understood and recommendations are made for enhancing the student's learning experiences.
- Individual Educational Program (IEP) Planning and Implementation
- Annual Review of student's progress following a school year- review of standardized testing, report cards and daily work to make recommendations for summer programs.
Pre-Test Consultation (typically one to two hours)
- Camp Academia evaluates the student's situation based on parent and teacher inputs to determine if there is a need for an educational intervention
- Determine if there is a potential learning disorder (i.e. Reading disorder, behavior disorder, processing disorder)
- Is there a need for diagnostic testing to determine the academic strengths and weaknesses of the child?
Educational & Diagnostic Evaluation (three hour session)
- Parent interviews
- Full evaluation of your child's strengths and weaknesses in learning utilizing both formal and informal methods
- Academic Achievement Testing
- Recommendations for charting the student's educational path
Post Evaluation Consultation (typically one hour; included with Educational & Diagnostic Evaluation)
- Full report prepared for parents based on testing feedback
- Student's Current status
- Recommendations for individual education program tailored to the individual student needs.
